For many reasons free time to play may not represent the fun that we need. In a world with so many rules and restrictions, all for our own welfare, free play can be a time when relative freedom invites the worst of our human nature to rear its head.
Children can be overwhelmed when subjected to situations which they can fid difficult to handle. When the playground, for whatever reason holds little appeal, there’s now somewhere else to go. When someone chooses Oasis they find:
